Got a few more writings coming into myblog.when help is coming from my son Ville. I hope you villlike them - going from Planning and architecture to what is determining it! Best JW
Comfortably leaning back after 30 yrs of planning in Botswana and 15 yrs in Stockholm City Planning Dept. Enjoying writing and discussing town and village planning from a different angle (culture and tradition). Will fill my blog with essays on projects for interested friends to read (and discuss with me) - kind of personal open archives, so to say.
But maps, photos, layouts (often in colours) are heavy stuff to download. So, I will try and create links to click, where it can be studied in details (as soon as I know how to do it).
I will start with Sowa Town, a kind of professional peak job and it will be followed by others (e.g. Gaborone, Francistown and Lobatse extensions as well as village ( or traditional towns) upgraing and expansion.
Articles and papers on planning, economics and politics I have produced over years will be presented in a blog I have still to consider how to make (and come up with sorting concept).
I'm not happy that I've opened this "homepage" already. A simple mishit by an index finger did that - but bear with me - at least Sowa Town planning history is knocked down and maps scanned. So it can be presented within short.
See you then - JW
